Go over your maps, check your directions and confirm your required route before embarking on you journey. Remain aware of your surroundings and identify how to reach your destination before departure. Keep your car doors locked whilst driving or stationery. The use of safety belts is compulsory for all occupants of a vehicle when it is in motion. Besides this, it may save your life in the event of an accident. Drinking alcoholic beverages, while driving, is highly illegal. Under no circumstances should you give hitchhikers a ride. Always be on the lookout for pedestrians around your vehicle. Always park in well illuminated areas, and keep your keys with you at all times. Never give keys to anyone other than official representatives who are clearly identifiable.
