Most of Southern Africa's finest game reserves, wilderness areas and off-beat attractions can only be accessed along gravel roads and off-road tracks. The Safari basically means an adventure journey to travel and encounter something new.

If you are seeking a true self guided safari experience, a 4x4 vehicle is the only real mode of transport to consider. Most all terrain 4x4 vehicles that are for hire are not necessarily fully equipped for your safari. There are companies that specialise in fitting vehicles out to be completely self sufficient.

The equipment supplied includes fridge/freezers, stoves, water tanks, showers and tents. Extra fuel, tyres, first aid kits and emergency spares are also provided. Don’t venture off on your own without knowing exactly what you need for your trip.
