The city of Kimberley which is situated about 500 kilometers southwest of Johannesburg in the Northern Cape Province. The city was established during
the "Diamond Rush" of the late 1800's. Kimberley also boast prides itself as the first city in the Southern Hemisphere to install electric street lighting
and the first in South Africa to switch to an automatic exchange and it housed the country's first Stock Exchange and is home to the big hole.
