Drivers Licenses in Africa

BOOK A VEHICLE

All renters of our vehicles must have a legal and valid driving license, displaying a photograph which positive identifies the holder. A copy of your documentation is made before you receive the rental vehicle.

There must be an English interpretation, so that a local traffic officer can establish the class of vehicle you are qualified to drive.

An International license should be purchased before arrival in Africa; alternatively an English affidavit can be obtained from a certified commissioner of oaths confirming the vehicle class you are permitted to drive.

It is a legal requirement for drivers to carry their driving license at all times while driving in Africa.
